Department Tour Activities

Its always great when you are with your friends and it becomes more memorable once you have all your classmates together either its Fate or tour. I remember it was 1995 and we all (MCA 2nd year Students) went to Calcutta on department organized tour. That was the time when we came to know lot of new things about our colleagues and teachers as well. Someone needs JALAIBE, Milk in breakfast even during journey, someone wants to go to bed early and someone snore while sleeping etc. As usual my friends and I was the one who used to go to bed late. There are so many incidents happened during that tour but I want to share one.

One day one of my friend woke up early and left the hotel and when he came back he brought a good T-Shirt with him. Almost everyone liked it and as usual we ask 'where you get this and how much you get it'. He said I got it in 30 Rupees. Uhhhhhh wow its nice ...one of the guy asked "Where did you get this”. He replied " Go such and such market and you will get it, but make sure you have to do some bargaining over there".

Days passed and so many of us went to that market and we found the same T-Shirt but price was 60 Rupees and after a hard bargain the price was reduced to 50 Rupees or so.. We all tried really hard to get the same T-Shirt and even wherever we went for shopping we tried to find out that kind of T-Shirt. One day we got succeed to lower the price by 40 Rupees, but it always strikes "No...My friend has bought in 30 Rupees I won’t buy it in 40 Rupees; I will try somewhere else and get the same in 30 Rupees"

Finally the day came and now time to go back to Aligarh, we were at Calcutta Railway station and discussing different things and every body was in a very good mood, Then my friend who bought the T-Shirt in 30 Rupees said ..Guys I have bought this in 50 Rupees. We all were so mad on him because some of us didn’t buy the same in 40 Rupees. Some times we forget what we were taught in our early age 'Lalach buri bala hai'
